The United Kingdom was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "You're Not Alone", written by Matt Schwartz, Justin J. Benson, and S. Kanes, and performed by Joe and Jake. The British participating broadcaster, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), selected its entry in the contest via the national final Eurovision: You Decide. Six acts competed in the national final and the winner was selected entirely through a public vote.
As a member of the "Big Five", the United Kingdom automatically qualified to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Performing in position 25, the United Kingdom placed 24th out of the 26 participating countries with 62 points.
