The Drowning Pool is a 1975 American mystery thriller film starring Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, and Anthony Franciosa. Directed by Stuart Rosenberg, the film is based upon Ross Macdonald's novel The Drowning Pool, and is treated as a loose sequel to 1966's Harper with its setting shifted from Southern California to Louisiana.
