Nancy Pelosi is an American politician who served as the 52nd speaker of the House of Representatives. She led the House Democrats from 2003 to 2023. Pelosi was a founding member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which she left in 2003 after being elected House minority leader. She is still widely considered a liberal.
