Brooklyn is a rural community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in West Hants Regional Municipality. The area had a population of 916 people in 2016.
The community was Nelegakumik by the Mi'kmaq Nation (meaning "broken snowshoes"). Brooklyn is unusual in that its post office is officially called Newport.
