The Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic (Czech: Ministerstvo zemědělství České republiky, MZe) is the central government authority responsible for state administration in agriculture, water management, food industry, and forest management. Established under Act No. 2/1969 Coll., it oversees veterinary care, phytosanitary care, food safety, animal welfare, and the protection of plant varieties and animal breeds.
