Kizilsky District (Russian: Кизильский райо́н; Kazakh: Қызыл ауданы, Qyzyl aýdany) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,413 square kilometers (1,704 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Kizilskoye. Population: 25,876 (2010 Census); 27,679 (2002 Census); 30,220 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Kizilskoye accounts for 25.7% of the district's total population.
