John R. Thornton (Arkansas politician)

John R. Thornton (February 14, 1840 – December 2, 1910) was a lawyer, judge and state senator in Arkansas.

He was born in Chambers County, Alabama and moved with his family to Arkansas in 1845. He served in the Arkansas Senate for eight years as a Democrat.
