Jeanne Duval (French pronunciation: [ʒan dyval]; c. 1820-1870s) was a French-born actress and courtesan of French and Caribbean descent. She was a key muse and longtime, tumultuous partner of poet and art critic Charles Baudelaire, with whom she had an on-and-off-again relationship spanning two decades.
