Diplomatie (play)

Diplomatie (English: Diplomacy) is a play by French writer Cyril Gély that tells the story of a fictional meeting that could have taken place in the early hours of August 25, 1944, between Swedish diplomat Raoul Nordling and German general Dietrich von Choltitz, at the Meurice Hotel in Paris.

The play has had productions in France, Switzerland, and Australia. It was also adapted into a film of the same name, which premiered at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival in 2014. Gély co-wrote the screenplay with director Volker Schlöndorff.
