Dannevirke railway station on the Palmerston North–Gisborne line of the North Island of New Zealand opened in 1884 to serve the expanding town of Danevirke. It is 124.87 km (77.59 mi) from Napier and 53.39 km (33.18 mi) from Palmerston North Junction. Its last regular passenger train was the Bay Express on 7 October 2001. It is occasionally used by excursion trains.
