James Austin Scott (born December 10, 1969) is an American politician who has been the U.S. representative for Georgia's 8th congressional district. Scott served as a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives before being elected to the U.S. House. He is the longest currently serving Republican in Georgia's congressional delegation, having served since 2011
